KATHUA , June 3: The general body meeting of Kathua Vikas Manch(KVM) Kathua was held here in Mahajan Sabha hall Kathua as per decision taken in the joint meeting of the members of executive body and advisory board held on May 13, 2018. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Ram Murti Sharma, President of the Manch. Prof. Ram Murti Sharma presented the report card of the significant achievements of the Manch and P.D Sharma, General Secretary gave an overview of the projects undertaken by the Manch still lying in the pipeline.
Mohinder Nath Sharma was elected as the new President of the Manch. Dr. Kuldip Kumar Mahotra and Mulkh Raj Sharma (Retd. AC) acted as the observer and returning officer for the election process respectively. The name of Mohinder Sharma was proposed by advocate Dushyant Jandial and seconded by Dayanand Sharma, the spokesperson of the Manch which was endorsed by all those present in the meeting.
After taking over the new assignment M N Sharma nominated Prof. Ram Murti Sharma and Prof. Saroop Chander as the Patrons of the Manch and assured to carryover the aims and objectives of the Manch. He sought sincere cooperation of all and said that the new executive committee, advisory board and other committees will be reconstituted very shortly.
The members exhorted upon the concerned authorities to take remedial steps for the prevention of dengue in view of the coming rainy season.
