Instead of ceasefire violations Pak troops assist militants to cross into Kashmir
6/4/2018 10:59:33 PM
On one side Pakistan has announced that its troops may no longer resort to ceasefire agreement by pounding border villagers and the Indian border outposts. It has violated its commitment in Akhoor and could be treated as an insult to pak DGMO who had assured his Indian counterpart that his troops will implement ceasefire agreement. Even though Pakistan's declaration is not old and is two days old, its troops have engaged in another exercise of pushing into Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the north Kashmir, groups of militants to raise the level of violence. And the security forces and the Army, deployed on the LoC have been told to upgrade their security grid so to as foil each every infiltration bid. And these instructions have been given after reports emanated that some 20 or 25 militants from across the LoC have sneaked into Kashmir. The reports cannot be wrong because Pakistan has recently grought over 100 to 200 militants on the launch pads across Kupwara, Gurez, Tangdhar sectors. In view of these developments will India reopen the channels of dialogue with Pakistan? Possibilities seem to be remote.
Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have been put on a high alert following reports of large scale infiltration of militants in the Valley from across the Line of Control. Reports indicated that over 20 and 25 militants were assisted by the Pakistani troops in infiltrating into Kashmir. Most of the militants are believed to be affiliated to Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit headed by Maulana Masood Azhar. The security grid is apprehending a spike in militant attacks in the state, particularly in the Valley. The security forces have been asked to remain on a high alert and intensify round the clock patrolling around sensitive security installations across the state. Islamabad should realize that when it is able to convince that through bilateral talks issues that hang fire between Pakistan and India could be resolved and once these issues were settled peace could be restored to Kashmir.
Is it for public consumption? Or it is for the consumption of the international bodies including the UN. After the US imposed cut in military aid to Pakistan because of its inability to tackle militancy Pakistan has signed a deal with Turkey, another Islamic country, for upgrading the military aid from Turkey which may be in the form of military weapons, arms, ammunition and explosives. Alread ting terror to Jammu and Kashmir. This one condition is not acceptable to Pakistan why should then India resume talks with Pakistan.
