Jammu, July 3: In view of repair to be carried on by the executing agency, the new track from Adh-Kuwari to Bhawan has been shut for the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims, while chopper service from Katra base camp also remained affected due to dense fog.
"To carry out some repair works on the track, the executing private agency in consultation with the Shrine Board, the new track from Adh-Kumari to Bhawan has been shut for the pilgrims as preventive measure," an official here said.
He said that to prevent any injury to the pilgrims, the decision has been taken and if required the track may remain shut for another couple of days.
However, the chopper service also remained hit for the second consecutive day from Katra.
"In view of dense fog, the chopper service from Katra base camp to Sanjhi Chhat remained affected for second day too," he added and said that it will resume only after weather improves. |
