Heavy Rain, Landslides halted 7th Batch of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra in udhampur

Udhampur 04 July :- Bad weather and Various Landslides at Panthyal ,Ramsu and other parts of National Highway on Wednesday halted the Amarnath Yatra Via Pahalgam at udhampur Battal Ballian here today on road instead of Stopping them on Proper Place.

Landslides in the Banihal-Ramban sector in Jammu and Kashmir and shooting of stones blocked the 260-km Jammu-Srinagar National Highway - the only all-weather road connecting the Kashmir Valley with the rest of the country.

Amarnath Yatra 7th Batch Via Pahalgam left Base camp at around 3:15 am with 2030 pilgrims on Board in 68 Vehicle’s including Buses , LMV’s and Pilgrims left in two groups first via baltal and second Via Pahalgam . in view of Heavy Rush as well as Bad weather condition the pilgrims towards Pahalgam halted at Battal Ballian udhampur on Jammu Srinagar Highway . Precautionary the Yatra Halted the weather is very Bad so the Authorities suspended the yatra of 7th Batch via Phalgam the devotees stayed in their buses and vehicles they are safe and comfortable but no one came here to told them when will we leave towards Kashmir so we will able to complete Shri AmarnathYatra .

Pilgrims while talking said that we are comfortable here but suffers a little due to halted of Yatra in non Suitable Place . they added that if weather is bad than why the authorities allow them to leave the Bagwati nagar Base camp where they stayed earlier . here on road there is no facility of toilets , washroom for Ladies so they worst suffers. They added that if Authorities arrange stay arrangement in Proper Place than we feel comfortable .

Meanwhile officials Shifted the Statyed Pilgrims of Amarnath ji yatra at Local palace in udhampur as well as Tikri area of udhampur district . he added that Proper arrangements Provided to the Pilgrims for their hassle free stay and comfortable Yatra.
