| Will Mehbooba play Laila Khalid of 70s? | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 13: PDP president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday warned Delhi that if it tried to break her party the way Delhi did it in 1987 then people like Salahudin and Yasin Malik will emerge again and will have dangerous consequences.
Another former Chief Minister and her arch rival gave her a befitting reply.
Omar Abdullah while reacting to her statement said militancy had aldeady taken a rebirth in PDP-BJP rule and that no new militant shall be born if PDP breaks.
However, Mehbooba's statement evoked a humrous reaction from a Hurriyat worker. "If it is accepted for the sake of arguments that more Salahudins and Maliks shall be born if New Delhi repeats 1987, how will Mehbooba react? Will she play the Laila Khalid of 70s?"
Pertinent to mention Laila Khalid a Christian woman who wore a scarf hijacked several planes for the Palestinian cause in 70s. |
