| RM Public School celebrates Van Mahotsav | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 18: The Van Mahotsav, organized by Department of forest was celebrated in RM Public School in Jammu.
On this occasion Chief Guest Sameer Bharti - Chief Conservative Officer (IFS) along with SS Bijral - Retired IGP, founder director of NGO Mother The Nature, Engineer Ashok Gupta and Senior Trustee Gayatri Parivar, conservator S Mohan Das and DFO - Anoop Soni planted the saplings. The function started with lighting of lamp, followed by song and symposium. Guests were given saplings as a token of love. The students took part in the event and the students also participated in preparing posters on trees preservation and maintaining ecological balance. On this occasion, Sameer Bharti - Chief Conservative Officer made students aware about importance of tree plantation and stressed it as a moral duty of every individual to plant trees and proposed to make school polythene free. SS Bijral emphasized that students must be connected with sapling plantation and awareness programmes which will encourage others to realize their social and moral duty towards environment.
The function concluded with a motive to sensitize people about the dangers being faced by the Green Planet and pledge was taken by all presentees present in the auditorium to Save the Planet Earth. |
