Students dare snakes, scorpions in Govt MS Drehalla | | | Ashwani Sharma Early Times Report
Udhampur, July 18: The Government Middle School Drehalla in Kulwanta zone aproximatly with 80 students is facing apathy of the authorities concerned. The locals raised the issue with the authorities without results. Radha-a little girl studying in class 4th of the said school informed that whenever it rains, the water enters the school building and the children have to go back to their respective home. Pradeep is a student of class 5 in this school. He said that the iron sheets to roof the school building fly away during a storm and the children have to go searching for the same next day when weather improves. The locals have sought intervention of DC A village elder informed that wild grass has grown at many places on the floor of the school which is mostly broken and snakes besides other poisonous insects like scorpion were also seen roaming freely in the school. Bishan-a farmer living in a nearby hamlet said that the elected public representative too has failed to respond to the people of the area without any concrete action though he was visited the area many times. |
