| GDC Bishnah conducts cleanliness drive | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 18: On the 12th day of Swachh Bharat Summer Internship, the interns of Govt. Degree College Bishnah did a cleanliness drive at Ratnal panchayat and door to door campaign at Chorli Panchayat. The interns alongwith the panches and lambardars of the Ratnal Panchayat informed the residents about the Cleanliness Drive. They all gathered at the Government Middle School Ratanal where the Nodal Officer, Prof Amit Kumar Sharma briefed them regarding the Drive and the intern, Bhawani Rajput explained the purpose of the same to the people. The drive started from the Govt. Middle School Ratnal and the interns alongwith the residents cleaned the streets with brooms while segregating the waste in two dustbins marked as Wet Waste and Dry Waste. The teams at village Partap Singh Pura (Lalyana) Pachayat Chorli continued their door to door demonstration of segregation of the waste and digging of the compost pit for the conversion of the wet waste into compost. They dug ten to fifteen compost pit in the village and demonstrated to the people the method of converting the wet waste into compost in the compost pit. |
