8 found locked, 9 employees absent; disciplinary action being initiated | 43 health institutions inspected in Rajouri | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 18: In order to ensure work culture in health institutions across the district for better delivery of health care services, Rajouri Administration today undertook surprise inspections of health institutions in different Medical blocks. As many as 43 health institutes were inspected in 5 Medical Blocks. These included 8 in Manjakote, 4 in Darhal, 2 in Kandi, 11 in Kalakote, 8 in Sunderbani and 10 in Nowshera. One NTPHC and 7 sub-centres were found locked during inspection which included NT PHC Pallulian and Sub-Centre Bathooni, Rathal, Bathera, Udhan, Plangarh, Narla Bambal and Soofa. A total of 320 employees are posted in these health institutions of which 242 were present and 9 were on unauthorized absence whereas 49 and 20 employees were shown on leave and tour/deputations respectively. The teams of revenue field staff headed by concerned tehsildars conducted surprise inspections on directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad. It was second such inspection in the district. A week ago, late night inspection of 'round the clock' functioning health institutes were conducted during which 4 PHCs were found locked. The administration has initiated action of calling explanation and withholding salaries of employees found on unauthorised absence. Explanation has also been called from concerned Block Medical Officers for poor administrative monitoring. Meanwhile, inquiry is being conducted to ascertain genuineness of leave claims of 49 employees and deputation orders of 20 officials are also being verified. |
