JAMMU, July 18: Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday hailed SAC for abolition of interview system for Class IV jobs as complaints were received about delay in recruitment for such vacancies in various departments across the State.
Shri Ram Sena State President, Rajiv Mahajan in a press statement issued today said that SRS had recommended immediate abolishing of the interview process for Class IV posts in order to bring in fair selection, transparency and also cut down the expenditure. He maintained that the interview process for class IV posts results in corruption, nepotism, subversion of merit, role of middle man, recommendations and malpractices and inviting of litigations. There was an immediate need for change in recruitment policy in the State by abolishing interview system for class IV Jobs in Government Sector, Govt. Undertaking and local bodies and SAC has taken though delayed but right decision, Mahajan added. Despite the announcement of PM Modi and the subsequent directives of Union MoS in PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh, to abolish the interviews for recruitment to non gazetted posts and to hold such selections on academic merit, he said, PDP-BJP government in J&K had preferred to continue with the practice of conducting interviews for its vested interests. |
