JE, AEE PMGSY prepare fabricated road project to siphon off funds
7/29/2018 11:46:30 PM
Early Times Report

Sunderbani, July 29: The Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna ( PMGSY) has suffered a serious setback as far as its execution is concerned for tehsil Sunderbani, district Rajouri.
Under its recent development plan, the department concerned with Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna released Rs 27 crore for construction of a macmadised road of length 22 kilometres at village Nahoti , but due to interfering control of an influential assistant executive engineer ( AEE) and Junior Engineer ( JE), the plan seems to be hijacked to suit an ex-ruling party minister who is n hand in glove.
The Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna had released a sum of Rs 27 crore for making of a road from Lower Hathal to kalidub Makol Mandir which was to pass through the village area benefitting the people of Nala Makol , but due to influential control of the JE and AEE , a survey was conducted that showed the road to be passing through the forest area thus depriving it of the maximum use that it was to present to the people.
The people of the area allege that there was no authority that conducted the survey for the road and all documentations were only done on the papers to benefit the people involved in the scam.
A general grievance is at large among the people of village Nahoti who say that not only for this particular road project only, the both JE and AEE in question have earlier been also making illegal, arrangements in different government projects to fulfil desire of their mentors , most of which are ex-ruling party ministers and members also.
In this particular case of the 22 kilometre road from Lower Hatthal to Makol Mandir too had come under the control of these engineers who prepared a fabricated document of survey and instead of following the Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna guidelines for constructing road through the village have tempered the survey to run it through the forest area.
The representation of the people of Nahoti have prepared a resolution to be submitted to the chief engineer jammu pmgsy with a request that both JE and AEE Sunderbani be removed from immediate effect so that the people of the area may be benefitted with the beneficial development projects sanctioned by state as well as centre government.
The chief Engineer Jammu pmgsy when contacted assured that he will look into the matter personally and if any discrepancy found will be immediately rectified.
