| Over 1 kg charas recovered, lady drug peddler, associate held | | | Early Times Report
doda, Sept 13: In order to curb the menace of drug peddling in Doda Town and adjoining areas today Doda police claimed to have arrested a lady drug peddler and recovered 1 kg 125 grams of charas (cannibies) from her residence while one associate of the drug peddler has also been arrested.
Police spokesman said that today acting on specific information regarding drug peddling at Sadeeq Abad area, a Police Party of Police Station Doda led by Inspector Sunil Sharma-SHO Doda and SI Firdous Ahmed and alongwith Executive Magistrate raided and conducted search of the House of one noted drug peddler namely Shakeela Begum alias Taya.
"During Search 01 Kg 125 grams of Charas was recovered from her possession", said spokesman adding that in this regard a case under FIR No. 159/2018 under section 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Doda police station and accused Shakeela Begum alias Taya of Sadeeq Abad Doda arrested on the spot.
Spokesman further said that on her disclosure one more drug peddler namely Sheraz Ahmed of Dessa Road Doda (partner of the accused lady) was also arrested and booked under section 29 of NDPS Act. Arrests were made under close supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs. Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and further investigation to know their links with other drug peddlers is going on. |
