SAD discusses problems being faced by Sikh Community

JAMMU, Sept 16: The meeting of newly formed Shiromani Akali Dal, jammu Kashmir was organized at Gurdwara Baba Fateh Singh, Gandhi Nagar under the Chairmanship of S. Darbindhar Singh, President of the Party.
All the office bearers from Jammu and Kashmir province and many other intellectuals and prominent personalities of the Sikh Community were present in the meeting. The meeting was organized to discuss the long pending problems and issues related to the Sikh community and their resolving.
All the speakers unanimously appealed the Sikh Community to be united in the interest of the Community. Many speakers suggested to organize the party at grass root level by nominating Shiromani Youth Akali Dal, Sikh Student Federation, Sikh Naujwan Sabha and work for the betterment of youths. It was also suggested to visit the areas where drugs like (Chitta Powder) and other drugs are being consumed and do their best efforts to free from drugs. The participants in the meeting requested to Governor of Satya Paul Malik that many Municipal Wards where Sikhs are residing has been converted in reserved for ladies and S/C and STs. Due to this many Sikh Candidates has lot their chance to elect. It is appealed the Governor to hold the election on old pattern.
