AEE absconding in fraud case arrested, deceives youth on pretext of Govt jobs

Jammu, Sept 16: Bakshi Nagar police claimed to have arrested the AEE of Road and Building Department who was absconding in a fraud case.
Police identified the arrested AEE as Vinod Sabharwal who was posted in Reasi.
Police sources said that earlier a complaint was lodged by Varun Gupta of Rehari colony Jammu with SSP Vigilance (UDR) against AEE Vinod Sabharwal and after inquiry the case was referred to Inspector General of Police who later referred it to Bakshi Nagar police station for investigation.
After completing the investigation Bakshi Nagar police registered a case under FIR No. 94/2018 under section 420 of RPC against the AEE in the month of June and yesterday he was arrested.
The complaint in his complaint alleged that Vinod Sabharwal who is posted in Reasi in Road and Building Department is my neighbour and meets me mostly. He builds relations with me and behaves that he is a very helping person. I also start doing faith on him. The complainant further alleged that he is in a private job and one day certainly he came to me and ask me the golden chance of Govt. Job in RB Deptt. He took two lack from me and able me that he will soon give me the appointment letter of government job.
He further alleged that later after one week he again demanded one lakh more which I refused to give following which he said that if you failed to give rupee one lakh more, the rupees two lakh given previously would not be returned back.
"I managed rupees one lakh more and give it to him but I got depressed when he again demanded one lakh and it was very difficult situation for me to arrange rupees one lakh more", alleged complainant.
Later when I came to know that he is a fraud and I forced him to return my money. He gave me cheques amounting 4 lakh and when I inquire from bank, there was no balance in his account.
