Congress will win Municipal polls: Dr Manohar
9/30/2018 10:03:48 PM
Early Times Report

Kathua, Sept 30, Former Minister & President District Congress Committee Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma appealed to the people of Municipal Council Kathua, Municipal Committee Billawar, Nagri, Hiranagar and Basohli in kathua district to vote for the Congress candidates in municipal elections because we believe in fighting elections on the basis of principles and development.
Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that the aim of Congress to fight any elections is not to seek power for itself but to build a national consensus by involving different shades of public and political opinion in Municipal, Panchayati Raj, Assembly and in the Parliament so that we could find a way in making J&K a peaceful and developed state.
Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that the BJP owe an apology to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for compromising their interests and they kept their personal interests above the larger interest of the people on every front, be it development, governance, security or political aspirations. He said the PDP-BJP coalition was an unholy alliance" stitched together with the "singular agenda of remaining in power. As a consequence, public interest became a causality.
He said the Congress, which believed in secularism, unity and communal amity, alone could undo the damage inflicted by the erstwhile government's divisive politics and said the ongoing Municipality and upcoming Panchayat polls are a fight for dignity and justice for the people of the state.
He appealed to the cadres to gear up for the challenges and feel strong and continue to work with great vigour for the development and well being of the people.
He said Congress is the only unifying force in the Country and will continue to remain as a bridge between communities of every religion or region and is committed to the cause of uniting people in the country as well as in the State. He appealed to the people of Kathua district to vote in favour of the candidates of Congress Party in ongoing Municipality elections.
