DGP inaugurates Basket Ball Court, Amphi Theater

SRINAGAR, Sept 30: Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh, IPS visited Police Training School, Manigam where he inaugurated a newly constructed Basket Ball Court and Amphi Theater. He also addressed a trainees' darbar.
The Director General of Police was received by the Principal of the Training School Shri Haseeb-Ur-Rehman, SSP. On his arrival the DGP was presented ceremonial Guard of Honour.
Addressing the trainees, the DGP said that the recruit trainees should make best use of all the facilities available in the training institute and learn all the traits of the policing. He said that they should follow the training curriculum with dedication so that they will keep fit throughout their respective careers till they retire from the active service.
The DGP said that training provides an opportunity to the trainees whether officers or of other ranks to grill and shape themselves as a confident, well versed and well-mannered police person.
He said that the trainees were lucky to have joined J&K Police which is a large family and this phase of grooming will determine how successful they would be professionally. He advised the trainees to learn all the skills and techniques of investigation and policing so that they become confident and strong. He also advised them to prepare themselves to face the difficulties and remain cheerful in all circumstances.
While referring to the situation in the State he impressed upon the trainees to work for peace once they pass out and follow the principles of justice.
He also impressed upon them to work shoulder to shoulder with one another and enjoy their training as the days of the training are the most memorable in the professional life of any officer or jawan.
Earlier, Principal PTS Manigam gave a brief of the activities and training programmes of the School. He brought to the notice of the DGP some demands which the DGP said that these would be looked into sympathetically.
Later on the DGP inaugurated Basket Ball Court, Amphi Theater. IGP Kashmir S.P.Pani and SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Poswal were present on the occasion.
