| DIG DKR conducts security review of ULBs, Panchyat Polls | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 4: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) Range, Rafiq-ul-Hassan today conducted a detailed review of security arrangements put in place for upcoming ULBs /Panchyat elections with district SSsP of DKR Range at JayPee Complex Chanderkote.
DIG discussed in detail the security plan/deployment in connection with peaceful and smooth conduct of ULBs election and directed district SSsP to coordinate in all respects with civil administration for the same. DIG further directed them for area domination well in time to avoid any kind of security lapse and ensure security of contesting candidates including polling stations.
DIG also stressed to workout proper strategy for the security of Municipal Offices /Panchayat Ghars and to get all vulnerable polling booths adequately sensitize through anti-sabotage check team, in this context help can be sought from locally deployed paramilitary and NCA forces.
DIG further stressed upon district SSsP to liaise with civil administration in respect of transportation of polling parties to their respective destination by 9th October so that on poll day i.e on 10th October polls are conducted in free and fare manner. |
