Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct. 7: While making startling revelations regarding the rampant corruption in Central University of Jammu, the Jammu Youth Forum alleged Vice-Chancellor is involved in corruption in non-teaching and teaching appointments during his three and half years tenure so far.
Addressing a press conference, Ajaz Khan State President Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) said, "There has been a large scale corruption made in the teaching and non-teaching appointments as several people have come out with proof and evidence to support this allegation. Several candidates who have been declared unsuccessful have claimed that far more inferior candidates had been selected by the University which shows that everything was pre-planned and all the post were sold in advance."
Prof Ashok Aima is indulging in corruption keeping all the norms at bay and the same is evident from the selections made for the post of Controller Examination and Public Relation Officer (PRO) but he could not proceed with their appointment as there was hue and cry in media owing to which matter was referred to Executive Council that turned down both the appointments, Ajaz Khan revealed.
Similarly, lot many other selections are also questionable but he managed to get his favourites appointed on the posts hence, all such appointments must be subjected to investigation to expose the ugly face of the incumbent Vice Chancellor who has ruined the institution. Khan further alleged that large scale bungling has been done in the recently held selections of non-teaching positions and JYF would going to launch an agitation to unravel the truth behind this sold out of posts.
He urged the Union HRD Minister and Chancellor of the University to take cognizance of the happenings in the varsity and immediately order high level inquiry and remove Prof Aima from the post to save the institution from further deterioration.
