							  | | Balakote, Mankote areas reel in darkness; Kerosene sold in black | | | | | | MS Nazki Early Times Report
Poonch, Oct 7: Sensitive border areas which fall on line of control in Mendhar Sub division have been reeling under complete or partial darkness all along but concerned Power Development Department seems least bothered.
During the evenings and nights they see no light. On the one hand PDD turns nelson's eye towards their problems and on the other hand they have no kerosene oil available in CADP Depots said some prominent locals while talking to Early Times, adding kerosene oil supply to CAPD depots goes straight way to black market and we purchase it from shopkeepers instead of receiving it on ration cards, they added
Blaming the Tehsil supply officers of Mendhar and Balakote local further said that kersosene oil was being sent to black market for sale and Govt officials were making fortunes thereby. This all was going on under the very nose of Assistant Director Food of Poonch District.
The people have urged the Director CAPD to take stock of the problems of the gullible people of Balakote and Mankote and made Kerosene oil available them at government depots. He also appeal PDD authorities to pay a visit to these areas and see how people are living without power there, Mushtaq added.
