| Illegal telecom tower under nose of authorities | | | Ashwani Sharma

Udhampur, Oct 21: Throwing all norms to winds, a man is erecting a telecom tower at his place in residential area here at Ward number 17. On the instructions by ADC Udhampur, the tehsildar and Patwari concerned visited the spot to get the work stopped but the violator paid no heed and continued with the construction and also called some politicians to intervene.
Even some day ago locals of the area had visited the office of additional deputy commissioner Udhampur who was the concerning officer which issued the no objection certificate for the tower.
Pertinent to mention, the radiations emanating from the tower are extremely dangerous for all forms of life.
While SHO Udhampur Sanjeev Singh Chib today sent a the police team after ET intervention but the work was going on when reports last came in.
When contacted the ADC Udhampur assured that , I will look into the matter and tomorrow morning issue the demolition order for demolishing of illegal tower who was raised residential colony. |
