Jammu, Oct 29: 1st Inter Polytechnic Annual Sports Meet "SPORTECH 2018" was inaugurated at Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk Jammu by Ajeet Kumar Sahu (IAS), Secretary to Government School and Technical Education, J&K Government, Chief Guest of function, in presence of Anoo Malhotra (KAS), Director, Technical Education, J&K, Government, Guest of Honour, Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college along with various Principals of Polytechnics/it is and other dignitaries. The function was started by lightening of lamp. The Chief Guest of the function, Ajeet Kumar Sahu along with Guest of Honour Anoo Mallhotra and other dignitaries took the salute of a well synchronized 'March Past' of the Students of different participating Polytechnics and declared 'Open' the Sports meet by releasing the colored balloons. While Speaking on the occasion, Ajeet Kumar Sahu applauded the efforts of the college in organizing 1st Inter-Polytechnic Sports meet and said that such events will promote communal harmony among the masses and will engage youths and students in sports and help them not to derail from the mainstream, besides providing a professional platform to them to showcase their hidden skills like khelo India. Director Technical Education Anoo Malhotra appreciated the initiative taken by the college Principal in organizing SPORTECH 2018, a first event of its kind in Technical Education Department to give Boost to budding players of various Polytechnics besides will provide an opportunity to build cultural relationship between various students. |
