MENDHAR, Oct 29: Poonch defeated Noweshra and lifted the Pir Panjal footabll League title at OP Hill Stadium Mendhar. This Inter District Level football Competition was organised by Romeo Force (CIF)and contested by 7 teams from Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Rajouri, Naushera, Poonch and Reasi teams. Locals Indian Army's role in promoting peace and harmony through promotion of sports and culture is bearing fruit as evident from response of locals and youth of Mendhar. First two teams were awarded with cash prizes Rs 60,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively along with trophies and medals.
Indian Army graced the event as chief guest, DDC Poonch while Commander CO, 2IC of Army along with SDM SDPO , and sports officials attended the event. |
