SMVDN Hospital organises Health talk on hearing loss for pensioners

Jammu, Oct 29: The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspecialty Hospital, Kakryal (SMVDNSH) in collaboration with the Central Govt Pensioners Welfare Association, Jammu (CGWPA) and Retired Officers Forum organised a Health talk on prevention of hearing loss by Dr. Rohan Gupta, a noted ENT Specialist. The 90-minute talk was attended by members of CGPWA and Retired Officers Forum besides some other senior citizens. The Talk was followed by a fruitful interaction on hearing loss and also on throat and nasal problems with special reference to senior citizens. On the request of the Pensioners, SMVDNSH agreed that henceforth Health Talk under Awareness initiative would also include a related camp where senior citizens would have the facilities of examination and diagnostic investigations to extent possible.
It was disclosed with the extension of cashless facility for treatment to CGHS beneficiaries Pensioners in SMVDN Superspecialty Hospital, the OPD and IPD will be free of cost but only with the reference from the Incharge Medical Officer of CGHS Wellness Centre, Jammu. The members of the Retired Officers Forum, already registered with the SMVDNSH, requested the Hospital authorities for discount on treatment and OPD. The concerned authorities assured them to consider it. It was also decided that the next Health Talk cum Camp would be on Orthopedic. The date would be finalised at the convenience of the Specialist.
The SMVD Narayana Superspecialty Hospital, Kakryal has recently been empanelled for cashless treatment of CGHS pensioners having CGHS beneficiary cards which will benefit more than 2000 Central Govt pensioners in the State.
