Kathua Lift State "Khelo India" Kabaddi competition

SRINAGAR, Oct 29: At the final day of State Kabaddi Competition under "KHELO INDIA ' Scheme held at Govt. College of Physical Education , Gadoora Ganderbal, District Kathua beat District Srinagar by 20 Points in the final match and lift the trophy. For third place Ganderbal beat Anantnag by 10 points. The competition is organized by J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association in Collaboration with J&K State Sports Council.n Nazir Ahmad Baba (KAS) Additional District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal was the Chief Guest on the ocassion. Haji Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council, Dr. Hartej Singh , Principal Physical Education College Ganderbal and Madam Nusrat Gazalla, Sports Officer Central J&K Sports Council were Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries who witness the matches were Surinder Mohan, General Secretary J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association , . Sangram Singh, Treasurer of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, A.R. Ahanger, A.R. Padder from Anantnag, G.M. Ganie from Pulwama, Nazir Ahmad from Budgam, . Gulzar Ahmad from Srinagar, district Secretaries and Presidents of the Kabaddi Association. Nazir Ahmad Baba (KAS) Additional District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, encouraged and motivated the players for build the nation through Sports Competitions and also appreciated the work of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association. Haji Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer, State Sports Council highlighted the Khelo India Scheme and also appreciated the organizing committee for the said tournament. The tournament was organized under the supervision of Anil Gupta, President of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, Kuldeep Gupta, CEO of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, Sheikh Mohammad Shafi, District Kabaddi Secretary, Ganderbal.
