'Inter District Div Level Cricket Tournament U-14'

kathua, Oct 30: District Jammu lifted Inter District Div Level Cricket Tournament U/14 Cricket Trophy organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports the inter District Division Level tournament being organized at Sports Stadium Hiranagar under the directions of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Madan Lal and supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Sunil Kumar witnessed the final match of cricket for under 14 years boys. The final match was played between District Jammu and district Kathua. Jammu opted to bat first after winning the toss and made 139 runs in prescribed 20 over by losing 6 wickets. Tahir of Jammu made 37 runs in 13 balls with one boundary and four sixes and he remained not out. Shavak of Jammu added 31 runs in 18 balls. Nitin of Kathua clinched two wickets by giving 16 runs in 2 overs. While chasing the target Kathua collected only 85 runs by losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Hence, Jammu won the final match and lifted the trophy of under 14 Cricket tournament. The winner and runner up teams were awarded with merit certificates and trophies by the DYSS Kathua. Divyansh of Kathua made 29 runs in 26 balls with 3 boundaries. Mannat of Jammu clinched two wickets in 3 overs by giving 13 runs. Similarly, Kannav of Jammu clinched two wickets in 4 overs by giving 14 runs and a maiden over. Tahir was declared man of the match.
