Early Times Report
jammu, Oct 30: Jammu Youth Forum today held strong protest demonstration against administration of Jammu University for deviating from the standing rules governing allotment of General Zorawar Singh Auditorium for function other than of political nature. While addressing the protestors, Ajaz Khan, President, Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) said that University known for trashing rules and regulations has once again gone ahead to provide General Zorawar Singh Auditorium for holding of oath ceremony of recently elected corporators for Jammu Municipal Corporation today.
Lambasting the University administration for its failure to stick to its own rules and standing university guidelines. Khan said that it was expected that the incumbent Vice Chancellor will muster up grits and guts to streamline functioning of university and ensure adherence of rules and regulations, but strangely he (VC) too is following the foot prints of his predecessor Prof Ramji Dass Sharma who broke all the previous records during his tenure to infringe university rules and statutes to please political bosses. He urged the Governor, who is also Chancellor of Jammu University to take cognizance of numerous irregularities still persisting in University for appropriate action as allocation of university auditorium purely for political purpose for oath ceremony of elected municipal corporators is glaring example of irregularity. Among those who were present in the Protest included, Amit Gupta, Aman Singh, Rohit Sharma, Munesh Sharma, Deepak Kumar, Rohit Slathia, Sunil Sharma, Kapil Kumar, Arjun Manhas, Rahil Malik and others.
