Newly elected ward members administrated oath at impressive function

Kishtwar, Oct 30: All the 13 newly elected Ward members of Kishtwar Muncipal Committee today took the oath as a member of Kishtwar Municipality after they were declared winners by the Election authorities after counting of votes.
As per the details available with Early Times, among the 13 members, two members took the oath in English, two in Hindi and 9 in Urdu language.
Among the 13 elected members, two wins on Congress symbol, one on BJP symbol and rest 10 are Independent.
ADC Kishtwar Pawan Parihar administrated them the oath in presence of large number of people hailing from different section of the society who assembled at Conference hall of new DC Office Complex to witness the historic event.
ASP Kishtwar Parbeet Singh among several other officers from District Administration were also present on this occasion.
The elected candidates who took oath were Maryam Begum Independent ( Ward 01), Sanjeet Kotwal (Congress ward 02 ), Zahid Hussain (Independent ward 03), Rafiqa Begum (Independent Ward 04), Mushtaq Ahmed Kitchloo (Independent ward 05), Sajjad Najar ( Independent ward 06), Kulsuma Begum (Independent ward 07), Shahid Parvez (Independent Ward 08), Shabir Ahmed (Independent Ward 09), Drishta Gupta (BJP Ward 10), Ghulam Mohammad Butt (Independent ward 11), Firdous Ahmed (Congress Ward 12) and Riyaz Ahmed Zarger (Independent Ward 13).
After the formal oath taking ceremony, the efforts are on from various sides to choose the President Municipal Committee Kishtwar by garnering the support for favourite candidate.
Among the 13 candidates, Raiz Ahmed Zarger, retired ADDC Kishtwar is the front runner for the top post.
