JAMMU, Nov 4: A monthly meeting of Jammu and Kashmir ReT Teachers' Forum under the leadership of State President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar and sought release of salary as per 7th Pay Commission before Diwali , Delinking of Salary.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma said that 41000 teachers and masters of the state have been waiting anxiously for the salary as per 7th Pay Commission as assured and announced by the Governor's administration during the meeting with the TJAC (Teachers Joint Action Committee) leadership at Srinagar on September 26th after 28 days chain hunger strike Of TJAC at Jammu and 24 days hunger strike at Srinagar.
"Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmed Ganie himself visited the venue of hunger strike at Srinagar and lifted the dharna on behalf of the announcement of the Governor , but more than month's period has expired and only salary for July has been released by the department which is unfortunate as they were expecting salary of September with 7th pay commission as per the commitment of the government " he said .

He hoped that the committee constituted for the resolution of delinking of SSA salary from MHRD to State budget will submit positive report on 10th of November and permanent solution will be found and teachers would not be forced to again resort to take extreme steps.
He further said that the Forum would formulate its future course of action under the banner of TJAC on 10th of November 2018 after the report of committee.
Lekh Raj Parihar demanded the immediate release of pending salary for last 3 months as holy festivals of Diwali and Bhai Dooj are proceeding.
