British International School organizes Diwali Dhamaka

Jammu, Nov 5: British International School, Sainik Colony, Jammu organized the Diwali Dhamaka with great gusto and fervor. The students displayed their talents by decorating the classes and corridors with vibrant colours, intricate rangoli designs and various other embellishments. The Chief Guest for the event was Sapna Sangra, Chairperson SPIC MACAY (Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music & Cultural Amongst Youth).
She told the parents to make sure their children are healthy and safe, are equipped with skills and resources to succeed as adults and transmit basic cultural values to them.
The programme commenced with traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by Tableau by level 5,6,7 & 8, English Dance by Level 1, 2 & 3, English song by Level 6 & 7, Gidda & Bhangra by Level 5,6,7 & 8. There was a JAM (Just a Minute) Session wherein parents showcased their talents.
The Chairperson, Gita Sharma, presented a momento to the Chief Guest and felicitated the parents who participated in the JAM Session. In her address, the Chairperson, offered her warm wishes to the children and reiterated that children should celebrate pollution free Diwali in its purest form by lighting lamps and sharing with the less fortunate.
The whole school reverberated with energy and enthusiasm hoping that this Diwali would bring utmost peace and prosperity in everybody's life. After the programme all parents teachers and students had a sumptuous lunch together as a family.
