Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 5: Making mockery of recruitment rules, envisaged in book of Law by Small Scale Industries Development Corporation (SICOP) can be gauged from the fact that the corporation had advertised nearly 58 posts in the year of 2012 but the recruitment process is yet to begin.
Reliable sources informed Early Times that the SICOP had advertised posts vide notice No: 1 of 2012 dated 04-09-2012 for the recruitment of 58 of different grades including 12 each post of District Manager (Divisional Cadre), Assistant Accounts Officers, Junior Accountants and Steno/Programme Assistant and 10 of Drivers. "Unfortunately, till date the corporation (SICOP) has not started the recruitment process", said sources.
An official of the corporation confirmed that more than 32 thousand aspirants had applied for the posts and nearly Rs 16,00,000 lakhs rupees were collected from the aspiring candidates @ Rs 5 but nothing has moved over these years.
"The corporation initiated the process during the dispensation of NC-Congress government but after change of government and change of guard at the Industrial Ministry level twice, the predecessor PDP-BJP dispensation failed to start the process", alleged sources.
According to information from reliable sources, the corporation has adjusted around 200 favourites without following the recruitment policy. The job aspirants have demanded an enquiry into what they called illegal appointments.
