Kishtwar, Nov 5: Former Jammu and Kashmir Forest Minister Chowdhary Lal Singh today demanded handing over of Kishtwar District to army to tackle with the problem of growing militancy and expanding of OGW network in the area following the killing of Parihar brothers in Kishtwar District on the evening of November 1, 2018 by unidentified gunmen believe to be the militants. As per the details available with "Early Times, BJP MLA raise the demand after meeting with the family of deceased BJP leader Anil Parihar and Ajeet Parihar. Talking to media persons, Lal Singh also advocated the installation of bunkers in sensitive areas of the Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas to tackle with the growing threat to the peace and communal harmony through Pakistan proxies. Singh who survived the deadly terror attack in Chatroo area in 2004 while he was campaigning for Parliamentary elections on Congress ticket along with MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori was fumed over administration failure to safeguard the life of the people. Meanwhile BJP MP and incharge J&K Affairs Avinash Rai Khanna also visited the Kishtwar District and meet the family members of the deceased to express grief and sympathies with the braved families. He also advocated the NIA probe into the killings of Parihar brothers. He also assured all possible help and compensation to the family members beside will also take up the matter with state government with regard to providing the job to the family members of both the deceased under SRO-43.
When contacted MLA Kishtwar Sunil Sharma said that party is committed to help the grieved family in the hour of grief and sorrow added that he along with incharge J&K Affairs Avinash Rai Khanna will called on Governor Satya Pal Malik today evening to discuss the Kishtwar situation as well as the other related matters including sanctioning of compensation as well as SRO-43 in favour the deceased families.
