Will try to create atmosphere for holding talks with stakeholders in J&K: Governor

JAMMU, Nov 5: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik Monday said that the state administration will try to create an atmosphere for holding talks with stakeholders in the next four to six months.
He claimed that stone-pelting and militancy-related incidents have come down in the state.
Interacting with Media persons after the opening of the civil secretariat in Jammu this morning, the governor said, he was carrying a mandate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reach out to the people of J&K State, ensure the development of the state and create an atmosphere in which talks can be held.
Governor Satya Pal Malik said that the Policy adopted by his administration is yielding good results adding that the civic polls were held peacefully across the State.
He exuded confidence that National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party, which boycotted Civic Polls, will be taking part in the Panchayat elections.
The Governor said the morale of the security forces is high adding terrorists will not be allowed to disturb forthcoming panchayat elections.
Governor Malik said the terrorists involved in the killings of State BJP leader and his brother in Kishtwar have been identified and will be brought to book soon.
