Sat tours ward 26, provides fund for laying new water pipeline

Jammu, Nov 21: Former Minister MLA Sat Sharma (CA) today provided CDF (Constituency Development Fund) of Rupess Five Lakhs and Fifty Thousand (Rs. 5.50 Lakhs) for laying of new water pipeline in the ward. This will solve the water supply crisis and help improve regular water supply to approximately one hundred household. Sharma was accompanied by Corporator Ward no. 26 Sh. Hardeep Singh Mankotia, Officials of PHE Department, local residents, political and social activists of the area. In a press statement issued, Sharma said that water is the prime necessity for survival and no one should be deprived of this necessity. He directed the PHE Officials present on the occasion to start the works at the earliest so that the residents do not have to suffer because of shortage of water supply. He also instructed them to identify the presence of possible spots where water supply pipes were susceptible to breakage so that wastage of clean water is curtailed. Sharma stated that overall development of Jammu West Assembly constituency is always his top priority and he will make sure that the works executed are of top quality.
Sat toured the adjoining areas in the ward to take stock of completed works along with Corporator and urged the residents to keep their locality and surroundings clean and garbage free and promote the vision of "Swachh Bharat".
