| 3 Diploma holders become SEs in SICOP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 21: In yet another glaring instance of nepotism, favoritism in Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP), three diploma holders have become General Managers in the corporation which is equivalent to Superintendent Engineer.
Sources informed Early Times that the trio have been appointed in the corporation on simple diploma basis, and with close proximity with the power corridor, all of them have become General Managers/ Superintendent Engineer. " Out of these, two have look after the IID projects of Jammu division and another one has holding the charge of General Manager in Kashmir division and looking after the all the IID Projects in the same division", said sources on condition not to be mentioned here.
The higher officials of the corporation have not restricted themselves here, going ahead offers three prime posts to that employees who have been simple matriculation and now holding the chair of Divisional Financial Advisor (DFA)'s posts in violation of set criteria of government department.
"These employees joined the corporation with pay grade 5200-20200-2400 and now getting the pay scale grade like 9300-34800-4400", said an official not to be mentioned here.
Sources further said that all of them have established their offices in the Jawahar Lal Nehru Udyog Bhawan, Railhead complex Jammu. Now the million dollar question arises, in the government departments, the simple matriculation and diploma holders have never attained the post of Executive engineer and retired on the post of Assistant executive Engineer post but it is the only cash starved corporation which promotes diploma holder employees at the post of superintendent engineer that too in sheer violation of recruitment rules.
"Given the prevailing anarchy in the corporation, a anger is brewing among the employees and they have urged the Governor to constitute a committee which look into matter of illegal promotion and appointment, so that modus operandi devised by corrupt official can be ruptured as soon as possible", said official. |
