Drug Peddlers nabbed by Reasi police

REASI, Nov 21: During the ongoing special drive against the drug menace, Reasi police succeeded in its fourth continous successful attempt to nab a drugpeddler with narcotics.
Police spokesman said that today a special naka was raised by Inspector Ashwani Sharma-SHO Reasi along with SI Nitin Khajuria in which the team intercepted Ashok Kumar resident of Bagani Tehsil -Kot Bhalwal along with his car (santro) bearing registration number JK02R-0916 at Simbal Choa and recovered 15 grams of charas from his possession.
On this a case under FIR no 200/2018 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered and investigation started.
It is worthwhile to mention here that recently Reasi police had already apprehended Manish Kumar alias munna, resident of Serwad Teh. Katra in case under FIR no. 192/2018,
Ajay Singh, resident of Vijaypur and Anchal Singh, resident of Bhaga alongwith motor cycle no. JK20-5401 in case under FIR no. 194/2018 and Pawan singh, resident of Trintha Reasi in case under FIR no 197/2018.
The said Operation is being carried out under the direct supervision of Dr Nikhil Gogna DySP Hqrs Reasi and Shiv Kumar Chauhan ASP reasi and under the overall supervision of Nisha Nathyal-SSP Reasi.
Meanwhile, today during patrolling in Katra town team led by SI Suman Singh recovered three gram Heroin like substance and 500 capsules of Tramadol capsules (which have been banned to be sold without prescription) from the possession of Manik Dogra of W No. 6 Main Bazar, Katra Distt Reasi, on Jammu road near Parthal.
The accused was coming from Parthal link road. A case under FIR No 234/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in Katra police station and investigation of the case entrusted to SI Varinder Singh.
