Complaint against Farooq, Rishi Kapoor forwarded to DMs of Srinagar, Mumbai

JAMMU, Dec 2: District Magistrate Jammu sent a complaint lodged by Sukesh C Khajuria, an eminent social activist, seeking action under section 196 CrPC against National Conference president and former chief minister of J&K Dr Farooq Abdullah and actor Rishi Kapoor for alleged sedition charges for accepting PoK/PAK as part of Pakistan to the District Magistrate, Srinagar and the District Magistrate, Mumbai for necessary action as per relevant provisions of law.
As per press statement, it states as "Consequent upon perusal of complaint, I am directed to request you to kindly take action as per relevant provisions of law," Addl. District Magistrate, Jammu Rishpal Singh said in a letter written to the District Magistrate, Srinagar and the District Magistrate, Mumbai, forwarding Khajuria's complaint.
Sukesh C Khajuria had sought information through an RTI application, dated: 15-10-2018 regarding action taken report of his complaint, dated 17-11-2017 and disclosure of timeline or timeframe in which the action is to be completed. In its reply, the office of the District Magistrate, Jammu informed that the file was put up before the then Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Kumar Rajeev Ranjan and the same was approved with the following remarks:- "Case does not pertain to our jurisdiction."
However office of the District Magistrate Jammu informed that the said complaint has been forwarded on, dated: 30-11-2018 to District Magistrate, Srinagar and Mumbai for necessary action as per relevant provisions of law.
In an application to the District Magistrate, Jammu, Khajuria has urged for filing complaint against Dr Farooq Abdullah & Actor Rishi Kapoor for commission of offence under section 124-A RPC (Sedition) and other provisions of law.
