| 3 GMC SOs ignore transfer orders, sitting on their positions since years | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 2: Making a mockery of the transfer orders, the three influential Statistical Officers posted at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu continue to stick at their seats and not relieving the positions for others. Interestingly, one of SOs has been sitting on his position for the last eight years ostensibly using his high level contacts.
Sources told Early Times that although several transfer orders of these officers were issued by the Planning Department but every time they give a damn to the transfer order and continue to remain on their positions.
"In one such instance, the Planning Department had issued around three transfer orders for a senior Statistical Officer but he didn't relieve his position and kept himself attached by using his influence in sheer violation of service rules," they further informed that as per recent order he was transferred in a BDO office in Rajouri District but he showed thumb to order and working fearlessly.
Similarly, another SO was transferred to Leh district but he also didn't relieve his position while the last one was transferred to Poonch district but the transfer order also received the same fate, they said. Though Governor had issued an order few months ago that there will be no attachments of employees but the order was utterly dishonored and some employees are manipulating situations according to their likings.
They further said that despite strict order that salaries will be issued to only in favour of the employee posted on the particular position yet these SOs, somehow continue to draw their salaries by using influence. One of the SOs was also under scanner during the tenure of Ex Health Minister Bali Bhagat when fund of Rs 1.30 Cr for cancer patients was diverted in clearing pending liabilities of the hospitals. |
