Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 2: An influential employee of Rural Development Department (RDD) of Civil Secretariat has threatened an employee of Forest Department for exposing his misdeeds.
Mohammad Sadeeq an employee of Forest Department told Early Times that he had filed a complaint to Chief Secretary on November 20, 2018 regarding that some Civil Secretariat (move) employee withdrawal monthly House Rent Allowance (HRA) for years despite government allotted them rent free accommodation.
"One Civil secretariat employee working in RDD as Under Secretary also president of Secretariat union drawing HRA allowance @16% on basic pay for which he is entitled to. The employee spouse also working as 'Section Officer' in Cultural department of civil secretariat. Interesting as per rule both the employees are not eligible for HRA allowance because they are secretariat moving employees got government accommodation one at in Srinagar and other in Jammu", Mohammad Sadeeq said.
Despite complaint against the earring employees by the activist, the previous government failed action against them due to proximity with the power corridor. Now, the activist has lodge complaint against the employees to Chief Secretary Jammu and Kashmir to constitute a committee and initiate action against them who indulged in fraud, causing loss to state exchequer and also urged to recover HRA allowance from them which was drawing illegally from many years.
Mohammad Sadeeq further said that after submitting complaint against the influential employee of RDD department has abused and threatened me in parking of civil Secretariat on November 29, 2018. The employee was accompanied by General Secretary of Non Gazetted Employees Union who also threatened me of grave consequences without any reason and rhyme.
"I feel very scared and lodge a written report to Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu office against both employees and said that in case of any threat/ damage to my life and family happens in that eventuality both the employee shall be personally responsible", Mohammad Sadeeq said.
