Jammu Fashion Week Season 1 ends on high note

JAMMU, Dec 2: November 30 and December 1 will go down the annals of Jammu Fashion History as the magnificent Jammu Fashion Week season 1 rolled in, in association with Phytomo Clinical and United Colors of Benetton. JFW was conceptualized to give platform to young and innovative designers in the state and use local artists to revive the culture of the state.
The event focused on promoting Fashion Tourism in the State and to revive the Culture of J&K and an effort to put JK on global fashion world.
The chief guest of the event was the globally renowned celebrity designer, Jattinn Kochhar from Delhi. Kochar had an interactive session with the audience and gave some relevant advice and shared his views on the fashion industry today and tips on how to succeed in the industry in today's social media age.
The event was a conglomerate of ace designers, top models and B-town celebrities including Shahid Rashid and Sakshi Bindra who are pegged as upcoming young Indian designers to watch out for. The local designers that showcased their exclusive collections include Jaspreet Bahri and Ritu Bahri from Angad Creations, Ujala Azad, Tanou Softa from Jewels of Tanu, Sahiba and Mahima from Samah, Kashmir based designer Shahid Rashid Bhat from S.R.B. STYLE, Raghav Dev Singh Jamwal from Raghwara, Subaita from Sunanni, Reena Rathore, Harpreet from Haute Boutique and students from one of the top design institutions in Jammu, NIFD.
The Moms and Kids Fashion Show on Day 1 was mentored by Former Miss India Finalist, Aprajita Sharma & Motivational Speaker, and Pallab Bose.
On the second day of Jammu Fashion Week Season 1, the impetus was lent to unconventional, innovative and fearless genre of fashion. The platform unearthed talent at KC Emporia-Luxury Banquets & Resorts in the fashion exhibition and ramp walk.
The Supermodels that walked the ramp includes Aditi Sharma, Aanchal Puri, Priyanka Khatri, Udita Tanvar, Monika Swami, Divya Mamgain, Rachita, Pooja Bhasin, Noor Seher, Kiara Chaudhary, Rakhee Sharma and Lovely Singh. The Showstoppers that graced the event include Shahnawaz Khan, Aprajita Sharma, Divya Mishra. The desired looks on day 1 was fantasy makeup while on day, it was the Egyptian look created by team Shalz Medispa.
