| Dabreh villagers protest against worst condition of PMGSY road | | |

UDHAMPUR, Dec 6: Locals of village Dabreh staged a protest against the worst condition of under construction Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road from village Dabreh to Kred in district Udhampur.
Protesting people said that the public is largely dependent on this road but due to its non-completion even after two years from the deadline the locals are subjected to lot of sufferings
The protesters said that the Dabreh to Kred road under PMGSY was sanctioned at the cost of Rs 523.04 lakh and the construction work for the same was started in March 2016 while its completion was stipulated by March 2017 but the contractor executing the job left it midway thus it remained incomplete till date.
They said that the locals of the area also lodged complaints in this regard even at Meri Sadak app several times but there is no redressal.
Locals said that these days the condition of the road is so bad that they even can't walk on it adding that the patients and pregnant women are unable to go to Udhampur Hospital as there are large pot holes on the road which may result into a road mishap. |
