BSF pays tribute to Jawan martyred in Ceasefire Violation

Jammu: On 06 Dec 2018, in late afternoon, Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Sunderbani area on the line of control resulting in one BSF person get martyred and another injured.

In the incident happened at 1630 hrs, Ct Prosenjit Biswas and Ct Mansa Ram were critically injured. Immediate resuscitation and medical aid was provided to the bordermen and they were evacuated to Jammu. However, Ct Prosenjit Biswas could not survive the gunshot wound and sccumbed to the injuries.

A solemn *Wreath Laying ceremony* was held at BSF Frontier HQ Jammu on 07 Dec 18 for Ct Prosenjit Biswas. Floral tribute was paid by all ranks for the supreme sacrifice made by Ct Prosenjt Biswas for the glory of the nation.
The occassion was attended by Sh Ram Awtar, IG BSF, Dr S D Jamwal, IGP Jammu, Sh Rahul Sharma Asst Div Com, Sh Ramesh Kumar, DC Jammu, Sh Dushyant singh SSP Rural Jammu.

IG BSF stated that Ct Prosenjit Biswas was a brave and sincere borderman. The nation will always remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty. Border Security Force has retaliated strongly and effectively on Pakistan Army posts. The martyrdom of the Borderman will not go in vain. Border Security Force salutes the Brave Heart.

The mortal remains of the martyr will be sent by air to Kolkata and then to his native place vill - Balla Shisha, Distt - Nadia, West Bengal.
In this hours of grief, Force stands in solidarity with the bereaved family of martyr.
