Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Dec 15: Kishtwar police busted a major over ground terror network in Kishtwar District, when it managed to detain former aide of hardliner Huriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani hailing from Figsoo area of Thatri in Doda District.
As per the details available with ET, the name of former Geelani aide identified as Noor Hussain alias Fiaz Malik surfaced during the questioning of recently arrested Hizb and HuJI militants.
The sources said that Fiyaz Malik remained private secretary of Syed Ali Shah Geelani from 2002 to 2013 and as many as five FIRs were registered against him in Kashmir. He left the Geelani Huriyat faction in 2013 when he was arrested by Jammu police along with two Huriyat leaders from Rajouri District in connection with the Hawala transaction.
Sources said that after securing his release from Jammu Hawala case, the accused motivator took shelter in a Kishtwar school established by the Jamat-e-Islami where he stayed for around six months. During his stay there, Hizb including Rameez Wani, Assam native Qamar uz Zamma, Raiz Ahmed, Touseef Gundna, Osama Javed and others used to visit him as a part of his well planned motive to vitiate the minds of the youths.
The sources said that the detained Geelani's aide took them to Assam along with one Liquat, who runs a cosmetic shop in Gundna market Kishtwar where he introduced them to some people who are being identified.
The sources didn't rule out the purpose of taking the youths from Kishtwar to Assam as an attempt to unite the militant organizations from North-Eastern states with those active in Jammu and Kashmir.
The sources said that after staying at Kishtwar school, Faiz Malik decided to open his own school to change his identity and also to effectively carry out his nefarious agenda.
The sources said that after using all its resources, he managed to open a school namely "Unique Public School" at Figso Thatri. Sources termed the detention of Fiyaz Malik as a major success for Kishtwar Police.
