Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 23: JKNPP has urged upon Governor, Satya Pal Malik to order enlisting of Degree College at Ukhral in Ramban District proposal is already approved by the Competent Authority earlier.
This was stated by Sewa Singh Bali, General Secretary Panthers Trade Union in a press conference here in Jammu today.
In a memorandum submitted to the Governor in person here today, Sewa Singh Bali said that the information provided by the concerned department to higher authority regarding number of prospective students ready to take admission in the Degree College Ukhral is incorrect.
Large number of students from the area is large enough for the Institution in the Tehsil. At present they have either to drop further education or seek admission at Ramban which is quite far away and poor students can't afford the huge expense of staying away from their families in the remote villages.
In addition to this he also sought up gradation of High School Pogal, Ramsoo, Tregam, Sumbar besides up gradation to PHC to CHC Ukhral. Bali also urged the Constitutional head of the state for his personal intervention to restore the power grid station Hunga Ukhral so that the entire Tehsil and its adjacent areas are liberated from the power crisis. Parshotam Parihar, State Secretary Panthers Trade Union, Manoj Gupta, District President PTU, Baldev Singh, Office Secretary & Vinod Kumar were also present in the press conference.
