Kathua, Dec 25 Sanjeev Kumar Verma is a social worker who is working with audacious spirit in the hilly terrain of jammu and Kashmir for the terrorism affected women of the state, Who lived most of their life in fear suffering from atrocities. He is running an organization named " SWARN SAMARIKA " through which he motivates women folk women to Weave and prepare jute and Cloth bags, He has been able to engage women of around 2500 families. His initiative has completely transformed the lives of women of that region, initially those who didn't not had even Rs. 2/- of their own, are now able to earn by their own efforts. He's able to infuse the spirit of self-esteem reliance and self - development into the women of that region. His initiative has helped these women of below poverty line families to earn average income of about Rs. 1500/- to Rs. 2000/- with this small venture. Moreover, now those women actively participate in brainstorming sessions where they themselves decided the new ventures, which they can undertake.
Sanjeev is striving hard to involve more women into this venture to make them independent and has visioned to dedicate his whole life for this cause.
