12/27/2018 10:15:58 PM
Early Times Report
KATHUA, Dec 27: Former Minister and president District Congress Committee Kathua Dr Manohar Lal Sharma while addressing public meetings at village Boura of block Barnoti near here criticized state unit of the BJP and its leadership for stalling the developmental works at remote villages of Boura, Juthana and Lahri.
During the meeting, local people apprised Dr Sharma of various problems faced by them on daily basis. They pointed out that their children have to walk around 15 kms for attending high school, also progress on construction work of road is very slow, shortage of water is still there, school building is still without roof. After hearing the issues, Dr Sharma lambasted BJP government and its leadership by saying that middle school Boura was upgraded to High school in 2014 vide govt order 737, dated 22.10.2014 but till now not even a single class has been conducted there. Further he said 4 primary schools were upgraded to middle school but same is the case with them.
Dispensaries for Boura and Bala Sundari were allotted during his tenure but still they are non-functional. He also criticized the slow progress of work on 14 kms Kein Pali to Boura road which started way back in 2014 but till date hasn't completed and many projects like these have came to standstill due to callous and non-serious attitude of the previous government.
