Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 27: Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh held protest today at Press Club against government for failing to permanent the employees of Safai Karamcharis.
State President, Lucky Chidha said in 2014, the then government administration created 548 posts in urban local bodies for Safai Karamcharis in which they only recruited 331 and 217 were pending and government said that they will recruit those employees who are working from last 7 years. Till then no recruitment has been done by the government.
He said, "There are number of employees, who are working from more than seven years and we have been demanded for the permanent of pending 217 posts but administration do not listen to our demands. They are now stating that they will only permanent those employees who are working from last 10 years".
Lucky said that the administration cannot change their stands as we are demanding the fulfillment of old pending 217 posts in which criteria was 7 years not 10 years. Further, Administration has also created new 337 posts in urban local bodies in the year 2018 and these posts should be filled immediately and these posts should be given to only Safai Karamcharis.
He said that we are giving administration time of 17 days in which our demands must be sort out otherwise we will go on indefinite strike after 17 days.
