Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 15: The J&K unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today celebrated the birthday of its national president and former UP Chief Minister, Kumari Mayawati.
A large function was held in this connection at Mahasha Sadar Sabha Community Hall, near Dogra Hall, Jammu. Raja Ram, MP Rajya Sabha and co-ordinator of BSP for J&K, was the chief guest on the occasion while Somraj Majotra, State president of the party, presided over the function.
The venue of function was decorated with blue flags of BSP and portraits of Kumari Mayawati, founder father of the party, late Kanshi Ram and Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
In his welcome address, Somraj Majotra said that the day is most significant for the Indian masses as their movement is in the strong hands of Mayawati, who took the reins from Kanshi Ram. She is taking the 'Carvan' of Dr Ambedkar much forward with great speed.
Raja Ram, in his speech, explained the path of movement in detail. He said Kumari Mayawati is leaving no stone unturned to achieve the ultimate goal of capturing the political power at the Centre. Dr Ambedkar had once said political power is the only key with which you can open any lock. "The Government in Centre led by BJP has no intention to help the deprived part of the society. They are just making foolish the masses for the sake of vote bank", he added.
