Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir POJK is the real term and not POK
Ronik Sharma (Advocate)1/16/2019 10:09:58 PM
The use of POK term is common in media, social media in other daily usage but in the real sense it is not PoK but the POJK . The area which was illegally occupied by the Pakistani's external aggression with hired agents since 1947, later which lead to a great migration from the different parts of the POJK PAKISTAN OCCUPIED JAMMU AND KASHMIR which we could say a mass exodus especially of HINDUS and Sikhs from this region by forcibly attacking the innocents with huge armed and ammunitions and uprooted them from their homes.
Many eye witnesses in their horried tales expressed that it was a pre planned attack on us which later created a situation in which many people left thier homes at the same time and became homeless in a short period of time when the Nation was celebrating victory of Independence over the British Empire and the other parts of princely states of the Country were busy in the reorganization with India through the process of unification. In the mean time Pakistan had started a move against the Indian areas by capturing it illegally . Apparently the killing of the innocents hindus and Sikhs had started because they were unarmed and without security.
The official records pertaining to displaced persons since 1947 ( POJK DPS') clearly states the term as Pakistan occupied JAMMU AND KASHMIR and could not create any doubt for using it as pok . Indeed ! The term POJK must be replaced into the mind setup of those personalities who are giving so much importance to Kashmir but the history of Jammu and Kashmir had witnessed the forced migration from these areas of the POJK in which larger portion belongs to Jammu region .The region is the subject of a long-running conflict between India and Pakistan. The territory shares a border with Gilgit-Baltistan, together with which it is referred to by the United Nations and other international organisations as Pakistan administered Kashmir.PoK has a total area of 13,297 square kilometres (5,134 sq mi), with an estimated population of around 4.6 million people.
It is high time for India and other human rights organisations to expose Pakistan of its double standards.
The region is referred by United Nations and other international organizations, as "Pakistani-controlled Kashmir" (or Pakistan Administered Kashmir) and it was re-named as Pakistan-Occupied Jammu-Kashmir by the Modi government. The 13,297 square kilometers region which has an estimated population of about four million has added fuel to the burning enmity between India and Pakistan. India has never given up its claim on the region, though Pakistan has the illegal control over PoJK. Neither people from Pakistan, India or the world know the true story behind PoJK .India had passed a resolution on 22 February ,1994 :
1. The state of Jammu and Kashmir has been is and shall be an integral part of India and any attempts to separate it from the rest of the country will be resisted by all necessary means
2. India has will and capacity to firmly counter all designs against its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity and demands.
3. Pakistan must vacate the areas of the India state of Jammu and Kashmir, which they have occupied through aggression and resolves that
4. All attempts' to interfere in the internal affairs of India will be met resolutely
The Resolution was unanimously adopted.
The claims of Pakistan over concerns towards Kashmiri population regarding human rights has proved fake by series of protest in POJK against Pakistan. The territory lies west of the Jammu and Kashmir.
