| Bhunzwah people rued non sanctioning of Degree College | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Jan 16: The people of Bhunzwah and it's adjoining areas today rued the non sanctioning of Degree College for Bhunzwah area having the population of over 40000 with poor road connectivity and having no source of income to the people to send their childrens outside home.
Speaking to Early Times, the political and social activist Farooq Ahmed Keen said that a deputation of the people from Bhunzwah in the month of October 2018 also meet with Principal Secretary to Higher Education requesting him for sanctioning of Degree College for Bhunzwah. He said that Thatri college is around 70 KM from Kither while another college at Kilotran is around 90 KM away for the poor childrens hailing from Bhunzwah area which is facing neglected due to its backwardness and non availability of poor road connectivity. He said that the people living in Bhunzwah area are still facing stone age like problem added that the people had lot of hope from the Governor's Administration with regard to sanctioning of the Degree College. He said that the prime objective of opening of Degree colleges is to provide door step education to people of rural areas added that instead of doing justice with the students hailing from places like Bhunzwah, majority of the colleges were open in Urban areas and in some areas, three colleges were senctioned within 15 KM area. He and many people like him urged upon the Governor Administration to look into the matter and got the college sanctioned for Bhunzwah area so that the poor students of the area could not suffer any more for the want of higher education. |
