Jammu, Feb 4: Astonishingly! The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department whose sole motto is to attract tourists in the state misrepresented about two renowned destinations of the state in the advertisements which the department circulated to a local Daily newspaper in connection with Jammu Mahotsav-2019 commencing from Feb 8.
The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department has circulated advertisements to various newspapers for the wide circulation of the event and larger participation. "The Department in its advertisements published in a local daily newspaper has exhibits about various programmes , schedules for the upcoming Jammu Mahostav-2019 which will continue from 8th of February to 10th of February", reads the advertisement.
Meanwhile, the Department has misrepresented the distance of Mansar and Suchetgarh Border from Jammu.
The Department has described distance of Jammu and Mansar as 1639 kilometres while distance of Suchetgarh Border from Jammu has been described as 297 kilometres.
Sources said that the department has taken this casually and misrepresented the distance of important tourist destinations of Jammu region. |
